Hi,
My periods are always bang on time. My partner always pulls out efficiently (not the best method I know, don't shout at me) and I'm a week late. Small short bursts of cramps in my back and where usual period pain is but no period, not like me at all - done a test on Monday and it was negative.

Do I ring the doc? What should I do?

Re-test today or whenever you can.

monkeyted · 10/05/2018 12:48

Re-test. Pregnancy is definitely a possibility.

Cosmoa · 10/05/2018 12:50

Try re testing with the first wee of the day as I did a test at 4 weeks and it came back negative. Didn't realise I was actually pregnant until I was 10 weeks!

Wildlingofthewest · 10/05/2018 12:50

Do another test. The Doctor won’t do anything! They will just advise that you wait it out, do some more tests if your period doesn’t come.
Get some of the first response tests.

I know it's daft and it's early but I've got such bad headaches and I'm definitely hungrier than normal we've had two previous pregnancies that unfortunately didn't make it so we're definitely both able to work together! Just confused as he's been spot on withdrawing every time!

As you've said yourself, the withdrawal method is not the most reliable....

Wildlingofthewest · 10/05/2018 13:02

Withdrawal method is really not full proof at all! Sperm is present before he comes - there is every chance you could be pregnant.
If you don’t want/aren’t actually trying to get pregnant then maybe you should look at a more robust form of contraception? (Unless of course you are pregnant now!!)

flumpybear · 10/05/2018 13:04

Withdrawal really isn't contraception as sperm can be in pre-cum ... do a test

taylz12 · 11/05/2018 08:58

Did another test guys, negative again with my first wee of the day. Not sure what to do now. Think I'm going to ring the docs for a blood test Sad

Your only a week late. Your doctor is unlikely to offer a blood test at this stage.

Try to relax, give it another week, re-test if your period still hasn’t come.
