No, get thee to a MW.
But don't worry too much

Is not good and they need to monitor it.

DimpledThighs · 16/05/2007 19:12

no - but it can be explained by some discharge going into the pot with the wee. I had it once at a check up and they followed up as it can be an early sign of pre-eclampsia but turned out to be discharged. Sorry if TMI!

depends how much, they will have to check for you can be a sign of pre-eclampsia.

Got this of the internet:

At each prenatal visit ask for the results of the urine test. Usually the nurse dips a reagent strip into your urine sample and then waits a minute for the results. The strips have the markings for "trace", 1+, 2+, etc. A reading of trace protein is relatively common and is usually not a cause for concern. If the strip shows a reading of 1+ or greater, it may signify the onset of preeclampsia, even if your blood pressure is less than 140/90. If you have a reading of 2+, call your health care provider immediately.

Can also be a sign of infection though! So whilst you need checking (and I stress need as an eclampsia survivor!) its not a certainty with proteinuria and can only be checked with tests

I saw the doctor today and in two weeks my BP went from 105/68 to 137/83 and had protein in my urine for the 2nd time but all the nurse wrote on my notes was + in the protein part. I was worried as I thought my blood pressure had raised quite a but plus the protein
. probably just being over paranoid again!!!!

a midwife would know to refer you if it was a lot - I got sent straight to maternity ward to be checked - I imagine it is not enough to cause alarm - pre-eclampsia is well known.

I had protein (2 traces) the last 3 weeks of my pregnancy and my bp was also raised.I had to have both my wee and bp monitored every other day and had bloods taken (PET bloods)twice a week so they could monitor things to see if it was pre-eclampsia.I also had to be wired up to the monitor a couple of times a week so they could check on the baby.Luckily it wasn't pre-ecalmpsia and ds2 was born 9 days early.
