I took a Clearblue Weeks Indicator test a few days ago, it came back positive and said 2-3 weeks. But then all the apps/due date calculators say I’m at 5wks based on my last period. Why the difference??

My GP won’t see me until 8wks, so I’ve split the difference for now as I’d rather go earlier. But is there nothing I should / shouldn’t be doing already?? (Other than not drinking/smoking)

I’m so excited, but also so nervous and confused now!

@AmandaNicole Congratulations on your BFP!

CB calculates your weeks from your ovulation day. The NHS calculates your pregnancy from the first day of your last period. Assuming a 28 day cycle, you are likely to ovulate on day 14, so the NHS count is usually 2 weeks more than the CB one.

Thanks! So I’m right in thinking I should be going off the 5wk estimate? So seeing the GP in about 3 wks from now?

Yes and yes. I am just over 6 weeks and will be seeing my GP in a couple of weeks.

Yes - if Clear Blue says 2-3 you are (probably) 4 or 5 weeks pregnant by the way NHS count. Congratulations!

OP you should be taking folic acid and vitamin D, and have a look at the nhs page on foods to avoid. Congratulations :)
