Bump hasent really changed shape or size since about 28 weeks. I have grown much bigger since week 26 but as mentioned not much since 28 is this okay ? first time mum and just worry about every little thing

yes.

Waitingonasmiley42 · 09/05/2018 11:18

Bumps vary hugely in size and shape. Try not to worry.

Pringlemunchers · 09/05/2018 11:19

Why are you worried about something ?

Pringlemunchers · 09/05/2018 11:22

Bumps seem to stop / start grow. Nothing ,then blam ! If you are worried speak to mw , she will measure and reassure you . All best on your new baby .

Shmithecat · 09/05/2018 11:23

You look bigger than I did a full term.

Oysterbabe · 09/05/2018 11:32

It looks fine.

Waterfountain97 · 09/05/2018 11:32

To the ladies who have said yes😂 ( everyone) does this mean a big baby? As I was measuring 27 weeks at 28 weeks and 4 days so almost 2 weeks smaller , should I pack newborn and 0-3 on the hospital bag then?😂

The size of your bump doesn’t really mean much in relation to the size of your baby. Bumps vary from woman to woman, baby to baby. Try to stop worrying about it. You MW should be measuring your bump at your appointments now, as long as they are happy with this then I would relax and enjoyed the end of your pregnancy!!

For what it’s worth, I had a modest bump, went 12 days over and baby was 9lb 12!!

NetVolume · 09/05/2018 11:36

Sorry , I had to say it op , but it looks like you're fishing for compliments rather than asking about your bump! You've clearly tried to make your pics as IG worthy as possible. They're very posy for a worried person.

Waitingonasmiley42 · 09/05/2018 11:37

Pack newborn and 0-3 then you will be well prepared.

Measuring fundal height isn't always accurate but if midwife is worried she will send you for a growth scan.

Waterfountain97 · 09/05/2018 11:41

@NetVolume
Funny enough they were for my Instagram account but they are the most recent ones I have and didn't feel like getting up to take more I was asking opinion on bump size not whether the picture was Instagram worthy , I wouldn't come on here for compliments I get enough false ones from friends and family about how huge I am thankyou 😂

first time mum and just worry about every little thing

I have found from experience that it's a mum's job to worry! Thankfully I have also found that 99.99% of the time there really was nothing to worry about. Relax and enjoy your pregnancy. Smile

NetVolume · 09/05/2018 11:43

You're not huge though , you look 30 weeks pregnant. As long as your appointments are going well you must try to relax a bit.

NetVolume · 09/05/2018 11:44

Fwiw people say all kinds of crap when you're pregnant , the only people you should really listen to are health professionals.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 09/05/2018 11:49

You should start having more frequent midwife appointments towards the end of your pregnancy. They will measure your bump and monitor growth. Ask the midwife if you think growth has slowed.

You look great, positively blooming. Is your foot stuck in that pointy position though? That's a worry Grin

SleepFreeZone · 09/05/2018 11:51

Looks a good size to me. I always carried small so i don’t think I was that big at Term to be honest.

Icklepickle101 · 09/05/2018 11:54

If you measured small why are you worried you are massive?

FWIW my bump is similar but higher at 27 weeks but growth scans have confirmed large baby.

rubberducker · 09/05/2018 12:21

All of my babies were over 9lb and still wore newborn clothes for the first 4 weeks or so, they would have been swamped in 0-3, so personally I'd take newborn.

Cosmoa · 09/05/2018 12:31

You look perfectly normal and if you do some research you'll find that measuring bumps is inaccurate. Also my bump didn't look like it had grown for weeks but that's cause I was looking at it every day. But when I compare pics I've clearly grown!

Surely by now you know that everyone is different!

Waterfountain97 · 09/05/2018 12:39

@ILostItInTheEarlyNineties
You would think it was wouldn't you 😂 I don't even realise I think I do it to try and make my legs look longer and less frumpy 😂 I'll pay more attention to the foot next time 🙈😂
@icklepickle101
I'm not worried I'm to big I was more worried that I haven't personally noticed growth but maybe that is like another lady said because I look at my belly everyday so it's not noticeable

Trust me.. You'll notice the difference 5 weeks from now 😁😂
