Hi, had midwife today. 16 week appointment. Heartbeat was 145-148 bpm. What would you ladies say? Boy or girl? Also sounds like a galloping horse???

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I'd say a baby.

These theories (nub, skull included) are as accurate as tossing a coin!

Above 140 is more likely to be a girl apparently! We haven’t found out the sex of our baby and this is what DH is using to keep his curiosity contained. Although we keep getting readings either side 😂

Mine was 150bpm and I'm having a boy.

Really don't think it means anything.

I've averaged between 152 - 156 and I'm due a boy.

I have always found a slower heartbeat to be a boy, I have 3 boys and a girl and this theory has been spot on each time !

First baby had a slower heart rate, this baby has a faster heart rate... both girls!

Thistles24 · 09/05/2018 15:16

My baby's at 16 weeks was 152. Everyone said I'm having a girl based on heart rate, nub theory and skull theory.... he's a boy! It's fun to guess, but wouldn't go buying anything based on theses theories.

Well they say galloping horse a girl and below 150bpm a boy so 50/50 😊
Also they say sweet cravings a girl and salty a boy, I seem to crave everything 😂 xx
