Anyone else dragging themselves through the last few weeks of pregnancy? I've got about 4.5 weeks until my ELCS.

Currently sat up, while DH and DS snore, because of RLS and indigestion. My vag aches. I cannot stop peeing.

Baby wakes me up in the night, hiccoughing and bumping me in the cervix.

I know that the first month is crazy so KNOW that I should be resting when I can but my body just won't let me. Waaaaaah.

Hi yup me too I feel your pain! I'm nearly 28 weeks with triplets Shock - last night I got to sleep at 3am and tonight am still up now - every time I turn over one of the babies kick so I've given up and am sat up Mumsnetting! These last few weeks are going to be gruelling but I see it as my body is in training for the months of broken sleep to come!!

Thetimehascometo · 09/05/2018 01:35

I feel you! I’ve been poorly throughout my pregnancy and have reached the 32 week mark. I’m fed up now and want baby out and want to feel better. DH is happily snoring away too 😫 and I’m so envious. The plan is to breastfeed but my hormonal self is thinking this isn’t fair as once again he will still get to sleep!

zaalitje · 09/05/2018 01:49

I feel you.
37 weeks, physically I'm fine, mentally I'm struggling with the knowledge of how much can go wrong still.
I just want baby out, feels so much safer than waiting for labour.

GottaBeStrong · 09/05/2018 08:13

I'm 34 weeks too and feel the same. I still have things to do but night time is the worst so I'm extra tired in the day, which doesn't help.

laurG · 09/05/2018 21:45

32 weeks here and it’s starting to get difficult. Not sleeping. Breathless lying down or even reclining as baby pushing into my lungs. Have a cold that a can’t take anything for - another reason I can’t sleep. Can’t eat much as there’s no space and I’m constipated! Yay! Also look like a blimp. Miss my waist line. Mind you it’s been quite easy till now so I shouldn’t Moan too much. It could be much worse.

I’m actually looking forward to labour just to get my little cherub out! I actually had a nightmare last night that my dates were wrong and I had an additional month to go.

GottaBeStrong · 10/05/2018 09:24

A month out on dates @Laura sounds like my idea of a nightmare. Shock

My OH has a cold too. He spent all last night sneezing and blowing his nose. He woke me up because he didn't feel well and was hungry. I needed to go pee for the millionth time so I got up and made him food, then I could not go back to sleep for ages.ConfusedHmm I'm fighting the cold I think as I am like Darth Vader with a slightly sore throat.

I found vapour rub quite good with the colds and pregnant ladies can use it. Got my growth scan today.

GottaBeStrong · 10/05/2018 09:25

@laurG - sorry phone autocorrecting!

Kilo3 · 10/05/2018 09:52

34 weeks here too with the energy of a bloated sloth! Cant get comfortable anywhere (I've tried every computer chair in the office, 'Goldilocks Style') Can't sleep, always hungry but then horrendous heartburn. Constipation!!!!

jamoncrumpets · 10/05/2018 09:55

I keep sliding down the sofa, it's so uncomfortable!

30 weeks here and when I think that baby could be in there another 12 weeks I could just break down and cry.

Of course, I want her to grow in there as much as possible but if she could not have me wait until 42 weeks, I'll be eternally grateful.

Current focus is on finishing work in 5 weeks. I'm hoping it will be 'easier' then when I can just sleep and laze about whenever.

jamoncrumpets · 10/05/2018 10:01

I can't laze about, I have a 3yo Confused

You all have my sympathies Flowers

I'm just so tired now. 36 weeks now with my first and finishing work in two weeks. I will miss being pregnant though, I think. I can waste hours just watching my belly move as he moves about in there :)

canthavethenameiwant · 10/05/2018 10:23

33 weeks here not too bad in the day but exhausted on an evening, my undercarriage is more than swollen and making me waddle
I've finished work now so can get plenty of jobs done before my section in 5.5 weeks, roll on that day!

laurG · 10/05/2018 10:32

@gottabestrong

Vapparup sounds like s good idea. I had totally forgotten about that! I’d feel sooo much better if I could just take one lemsip. But alas I cannot.

Good luck with the growth scan x

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 10/05/2018 10:33

35 weeks here, elective in 4 weeks. I can not sleep due to a lovely combination of restless legs and being thumped in the bladder. If I hadn't seen the scans, I'd think there was an octopus inside me. Then I eventually fall asleep only to be woken by ds (3) yelling "It's a lovely day!".

Gennz18 · 10/05/2018 11:45

Urrrghh I've just hit 33 weeks. I am booking an ELCS just to have a fixed end date.

Still battling pregnancy nausea and SPD - though not as bad as first time round thanks to the wonders of ondansetron and a brilliant physio- and now waking in the night with heartburn and more nausea Confused I also really don't like the feeling of the baby squirming round inside me - I know that sounds very cold hearted! But the sooner she's out the better. Oh and DS(3) has taken to getting into our bed every night at about 4am so that's going to be a fun habit to break when we have a newborn 😭

Dobbythesockelf · 10/05/2018 11:53

33 weeks and I'm not sure how on earth I am going to make it another 7/8 weeks. I have a 3 year old who doesn't stop. Baby is currently breech and the constant kicks in the cervix and bladder are beginning to hurt rather than be uncomfortable. I have spd so my hips and pelvis ache constantly. Terrible heartburn that I think is being made worse by baby having his head lodged in my ribcage. I can't sleep, the iron tablets seem to send me between constipation and diarrhoea. My dd thinks I'm the most boring mummy in the world and I feel terrible cause I'm so tired and run down that today we have pretty much watched films and she has done jigsaws while I sit on the sofa. Ironically by this point in my 1st pregnancy i was in massive amounts of pain due to gallstones so I feel bad for moaning when I know it could be worse.

0310Star · 10/05/2018 11:53

30 + 2 with DC1 here and I am starting to feel quite uncomfortable of an evening.
Very active baby either dagger kicks me in the ribs, squishes my lungs, or bounces on my bladder. Suffering now with pelvis pain Envy

Thankfully I have managed to take 3 weeks leave as 6 weeks of half days which I started on Tuesday and does seem to be helping as sitting at a desk all day was making the pelvis pain worse.
I am hoping my baby decides to come about 38 weeks... most definitely wishful thinking!

Gennz18 · 10/05/2018 12:14

The iron tablets dobby 😷 I hear you

My ferritin levels at 28 weeks were zero and I felt like utter shit, feeling better now but the fucking tablets make me feel so sick.

Honestly if I didn't have the ELCS locked in for 39 weeks I think I would lose it - 6 weeks feels manageable, but 7/8/9 weeks would end me I think

Dobbythesockelf · 10/05/2018 16:47

I have given up today tbh. I'm just too tired to function. I despise the iron tablets but I will admit that they have made me feel less tired up until this week when I've had trouble sleeping.
I see my consultant next week to make my final decision about whether to have a section or vbac, I was all for vbac but I'm feeling so run down I'm considering a section cause I know the baby will be out of me sooner haha.

MeadowHay · 10/05/2018 18:55

I am 34 weeks too and also struggling. Have had a horrid pregnancy...had HG for around four months or so, then coccyx pain set in. Have difficulty sleeping, now I'm big and uncomfortable, like another PP I don't really enjoy feeling the baby move, it is uncomfortable I think and distracting. Recently they've started hitting my bladder now and then too which is genuinely painful. I'm sick of constantly having to pee especially multiple times in the night even though I barely drink past 8.30pm. I'm sick of not being able to have a drink when the weather is nice. My feet have started to swell a bit now. And I've still got another two weeks at work after this one, I kind of wish I finished earlier now because I am sooo exhausted. And I only work a desk job with a 20 minute walk there and back!

/rant

nailsathome · 10/05/2018 20:08

I'm 30 weeks with twins and have also had enough. I have HG which started to ease off a bit at 26 weeks when spd/pgp kicked in. Midwife called on Tuesday to say my iron levels have dropped and I need iron - that explains the breathlessness and fainting! I also can't sleep because of heartburn/peeing/nightmares/discomfort. I've been off work sick for 14 weeks so have not enjoyed this pregnancy very much.

Sorry you're all suffering too!
