Hi had 12 week scan today baby looked fine heartbeat seen etc. Had spotting during start of pregnancy more like blood streaked cm had auto took antibiotics that stopped however had 1 bit of blood streaked cm again on Saturday nothing more however come back from my 12 week scan and had some again when I wiped and a bit of blood on tissue. Said baby was really low down at scan does that mean I have a low placenta I've read that can cause bleeding? Really worried now not sure if it's Uti again or something different may make an appointment with GP in morning. Anyone had this or can she'd any light please x

I had two MMC last year and only discovered the second one at the twelve week scan after having no spotting whatsoever.

I am currently 14+2, had the first scan last Friday and everything is fine despite having some pink spotting at 4 and 5 weeks (possibly implantation) and some tiny red dots on the toilet paper over the past fortnight. I’m not worried about the spotting following the scan, the chance of miscarrying at this stage is incredibly slim.

So sorry for your lossesThanks that's what I keep trying to tell myself I've seen the heartbeat with my own eyes today and baby doing backflips and now at 12 +1 I'm sure the risks have dropped quite a lot

This happened to me a few times with my 2nd, I spent most of my pregnancy worrying! I think the last time i bled was around 17 weeks and I was only ok because luckily he was really active and I could feel him moving. It happened a few times before that though and the hospital didn't do much to be honest, and i'd had a miscarriage before him too. I went to OOH before my 1st scan and the doctor was just very matter of fact and said well they won't scan you just for bleeding! I had a low lying placenta too so maybe it is to do with that, nothing was confirmed to me. He's now a healthy but crazy 2.5 year old!

That's why I've not phone hospital these last few times because it's literally a few wipes when I've been to toilet and then that's it. I'm sorry about your loss Thanks I'm not sure if I have low lying placenta she said baby was very low do you think that means placenta is low? X

Thank you. Oh I'm not really sure, I think it can be in different places. It might be worth ringing your midwife and seeing what she says. Even though you've seen the baby on a scan it's still worrying isn't it. They like to keep us on our toes before they're even born!
