Hi Smile

At 26 1/2 weeks baby was measuring on the 50th centile. Had another scan at 29 weeks and she had dropped to the 10th centile - she stayed there for 31w scan. At the 33w scan she dropped to the 5th centile and today (35w scan) she has gone back up to the 10th.

Midst all of this, I’ve had 3 episode of RFM (reduced fetal movement) with the last resulting in babies heart beat dropping - had a course of steroid injections and was monitored for 24 hours.

Has anyone had any experience of this or something similar? We keep getting mixed opinions from different doctors. Some are saying they won’t let me go over 37 weeks due to the full picture whereas the Dr I saw today (not my usual) was happy for me to continue with growth scans and possible full term at 40w providing scans stay on the 10th centile!

I just want to know what the plan for this little diva is and no one seems to be able to tell me Confused

I had something similar, not with growth but with pre-eclampsia. I was admitted to hospital at 36 weeks and initially told I would be induced at 37 weeks, got given medication and discharged after two days saying I could go full term. 24 hours later I was back in hospital, dosage doubled and released again, 2 days later back etc. Eventually when I was on the highest dose of labetalol I had a consultant appointment and my BP was still far too high he sent me up to be induced.

I saw different doctors every time and they all said something different! Is it your first baby? They like to leave you as long as they can as first time inductions can fail which they don't want! Unfortunately, you kind of just have to put up with being messed around until one doctor makes the decision to induce you then and there!

Good luck OP, it's so frustrating getting excited to meet your baby and then hugely disappointing when a different doctor says something different! Just trust that if they were REALLY REALLY concerned they would induce you right away. They're just trying to balance the risk of early delivery Vs the risk of letting you go full term.

I’m in a similar position in the sense that every doctor I see has a different opinion (not the same condition though). My consultant left the hospital at 20 weeks and since then I have seen 3 different consultants and their opinions have ranged from early induction to c section to today oh we will just wait and see 😫 so I feel your frustration! Ftm and really terrified!

It’s a relief to know it’s not just me who seems to be going from pillar to post! Just so frustrating! It’s like a countdown to the next appointment only to be given another!
I think due to the mixture of things they will induce (or so the OH keeps telling me) but I have a feeling that they’ll let me go full term! Xx

We were induced at 12noon on 21st May...at 15:54 she was here! Delivered via forceps as it went so quickly!
