What to take on holiday when pregnant? (Emergency Medical Kit?).

We're off on holiday soon and I'm trying to work out what to pack. I'm thinking I should make some kind of emergency medical kit with pregnancy friendly items but I'm not sure where to start?

I know I should pack my medical notes, a note from my doc/midwife and perhaps make a list of the nearest hospitals.

What do you guys make sure you pack when pregnant? We are going to Spain btw.

I haven't done this, but multiple copies of your insurance paperwork?

When I was 4 months pregnant (last year) I only took my medical notes and insurance documents.

My midwife told me to wear flight socks on the plane and high sunscreen in the sun. I'm quite olive skinned and I never burn, but my skin was so sensitive on that holiday, I burnt really easily and I ended up buying a hat and aftersun.

I'd also carried plenty of water around with me.

I don't know if it makes a difference, but I told the security staff at the airport I was pregnant, and they told me to go through the walk through scanner instead of the body scanner.

How far along are you?

Insurance documents (don't forget to inform your insurer that you are pregnant), EHIC cards, maternity notes.

Fit to fly note if you are far along enough to need one.

Flight socks

Higher than usual SPF

Paracetamol, pregnancy-safe antihistamines etc, in case you react to a bite. Saves trying to find something safe in pidgin Spanish.

Just the usual stuff? Paracetemol, your notes, insurance/ehic card. It's only Spain, there will be pharmacists and doctors available if you need anything.
