39+3, FTM, what should I expect?

Today I’ve had very light cramp/ache at the top of my womb and a little at the sides on and off throughout the day. I wouldn’t even use the word pain, just like a Very slight cramp or when you are about to be due on your period. Hasn’t gotten any worse from about 2pm, so I’m guessing it’s not the start of labor?? What should I be expecting? Will it just hit me like a tonne of bricks or is it more gradual build up?

Everyone's experiences are different but you will be able to the difference between light cramping and a contraction.

I was in labour for several days but for the first few days I wasn't dilating very fast and was going to the shop and chip shop having contractions. They made me stop where I was until it passed and it hurt like hell but it was manageable until I got further down the line
