originally wanted a little girl SO badly, then felt guilty so convinced myself of the benefits of having a boy. dh also certain he would produce another boy.

Just been for a scan (27 weeks) and its a girl. Now have to undo all my positive vibes about having boys and start thinking about girls again

anyone got lovely uplifting tales of their dd's for me? especially any dads tales as dh is in shock!

I have a DD who is just turned two. She is wonderful! My DH adores her and the feeling is mutual! He gets lots of cuddles and shouts of Daddy, Daddy! when he comes home. I am pregnant with no 2 at the moment - who is a boy. We are the exact opposite as you as we were sort of hoping for another girl as DD is so fantastic. I ahve got my head around it now (36 weeks pregnant, you'd hope I had by now eh!)

Obviously I can't tell you any differences yet and I think personality plays a huge role regardless of gender...

Your DH and you will have great fun with your current little one and his baby sister. I'm hoping that the gender difference will lead to less friction as they get older as 2 of the same sex can be quite competitive I believe. But again - I have no personal experience - yet!

Congratulations though
