Hey evreyone first time mum over here and due to give birth in July. I have ordered some manuka cream for the after birth healing process. Anyone else tried this? What are your thoughts? Will be taking it to the hospital with me. X

Also first timer so can't talk from experience but I know it is very good for wound healing in general (use it for wound healing as part of my day job). Never heard of it being used after birth but I think it will work really well given how well it helps other wounds heal :-)

Not experienced in using on a human but its worked magnificently on my rabbit after surgery - sorry if that's random!

Good for healing but just not sure I will want to be rubbing any kind of cream down there after giving birth!

My midwife recommended it and said it was brilliant xx

I've never used cream down there after 4 births.
A squirty bottle (old shampoo bottle is ideal) with warm water (cold makes you jump!) maybe with a drop of lavender essential oil squirted at the relevant area while weeing is all I've ever used, but I've never needed stitches so have been lucky

Liking the recommendation though - sounds a nicer alternative to savlon for the endless stream of grazed knees!
