Yes it's normal. As long as it's not accompanied with any bleeding (but even that doesn't mean anything is going to happen!) When I was between 4-12 weeks pregnant, I suffered from what it felt like 24/7 period cramps. Worse thing is that I had a bleed at 9 weeks and I thought that was the end of it but THANKFULLY it wasn't and my DS is currently asleep in his cot as I type! But seriously, I felt like I was on my period for 2 whole months and as soon as I got to 12 weeks, they stopped! I believe it's your uterus preparing and stretching to accommodate a growing baby.

It's also very normal after sex throughout pregnancy. Your uterus contracts when you orgasm and because it's a bit bigger and/or stretching this can be more noticeable than usual and does feel like cramps.

Thank you for your reply, period cramps eased off a bit this morning thank goodness! I could barely move last night! Was in agony! May ask hubby is we can leave sex a bit until things settle down, no fun being in pain x
