Has anyone used FRER and CBD (weeks indicator) side by side and had contradicting results?

Just wondering as a recent thread has brought to light that a lighter control line on a HPT can mean an imminent CP or MC.

When I was pregnant with DS some 5 years ago now, I did two tests on the same day, a FRER and a CBD with weeks indicator. I did the FRER initially and the line wasn’t a squinter but definitely not as dark as the test line. Just to make sure, I bought the CBD as well. This showed up 3+ weeks which turned out to be accurate at our dating scan.

I would’ve thought that the FRER would’ve been darker given how far on I was. I used the same sample for both tests. Has this happened to anyone else?

Try diluting your urine and then testing. Is there anyway you could be month or two further along than you think? Any light "periods"?

I found the frers quite variable in terms of 'darkness' depending on batches.

Though there's also the hook effect hence diluting.

To be fair though it's all v anxiety inducing.

In reality a frer is most helpful at testing early if you don't want to be pregnant.

@pumkinpieinmyeye Diluting urine with water will only make the result line lighter. It's not going to give you a stronger result. That's why they suggest testing with FMU because it's the strongest.

This isn't true when you get further along - google 'hook effect'.
