Would this worry you? High HCG 10dpo

Hi everyone I have a history of losses and no children yet. I just tested earlier this afternoon and know for a fact I am 10dpo. I have got a very strong positive on a FRER which came up almost instantly. After leaving the test for a while the test line is now darker than the control.

I don't have strong symptoms just sore boobs. Initially I was excited but now I'm worried the HCG is too high- has anyone ever had a test like this at 10dpo? Thank you, I'm pretty terrified. I can't add a picture as I've added some on other threads today sorry.

FRERs are super duper sensitive, so a strong line on that might be a squinted on a less sensitive test.

It might just be that you implanted early, which has given your levels more time to rise.

Are you 110% certain that you’re only 10dpo?

Yes I am. I also had implantation spotting (or what I thought was that) 2 days ago. Do you think it's concerning?

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Generally I don't think its anything to worry about, maybe could indicate a multiple pregnancy but probably too early to speculate. You could do a clear blue digital and see how many weeks it is saying? if it's loads more than you think you are then maybe contact your GP for advice?

I wouldn’t worry. Take it as a good sign or that it could be twins 😃

In my previous pregnancy which ended in miscarriage, my HCG wasn’t rising properly. But my second frer test was relatively dark for 10dpo (not as dark as yours, I did see your other thread, but quite dark)

With this pregnancy I did a frer at 9dpo and it was really faint.
At 11dpo it was much more noticeable and almost as dark as the control line.
At 13dpo the line was only a tad darker and was only about the same as the control line so obviously I started to panic and went to have my HCG checked.
This time my HCG is perfect and in fact quite high. In the high 2000’s for 19dpo.

I looked it up about the line darkness on these tests and loads of people were saying the same thing. That these tests sometimes contain different amounts of chemicals etc etc that give slightly different results.
One of the batches of tests I did this time (2 in a packet) both of them have wiggly lines.

Don’t read too much into the tests. A line is a line and if your really concerned, just go and request a blood test for the HCG

Thank you I'm too scared to do a digital in case it freaks me out id rather wait until I can get to the doctor next week and get bloods done, or if I can wait until 6 weeks and have an early scan. I don't know if it's something that would worry other people or if I'm just being a paranoid wreck.

It’s not something that would worry me particularly. I’d either think there was a lot of dye in that particular test, that I’d implanted a bit early or the thought would vaguely cross my mind that it could be twins.

Pinkgeorge · 04/05/2018 19:52

I had this - twins!!!

WhiskeyStone · 04/05/2018 20:04

Thank you both so much for replying. @SoyDora what day did you get your BFP and was it stronger than the control?

14 days, I did the cheap tests and the red lines came out instantly very very bright.
