Positive test after 2 mmc

I don’t feel happy, I feel stressed and teary. It’s brought back the upset of the mmcs.

I haven’t had a period since the last mmc (had the erpc on 28th March), we weren’t trying yet but not preventing either. It took us 6 months to conceive after the first mmc in August last year. I only tested because my nipples looked pregnant!

I’m so worried this one is going to go wrong too. Handhold please...

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hi OP can I just say I understand. I had a MMC at 12 weeks then two chemicals. I have a feeling I'm pregnant now but only 10dpo and I'm scared to test for the same reasons as you. I suppose now I think we can't change the outcome but we do want a baby and we have to go through this to make it happen. I hope this one is successful for you.

Thanks Whiskey. I hope all goes well for you.

I know you have to be in it to win it but my god it’s hard to put yourself through it!

I’m trying to count my blessings- I already have three children and seem to fall pregnant fairly easily so I know I am very lucky really but the two mmc in a row really knocked me. I’ve also had an early mc so am currently even with successful and unsuccessful pregnancies.

I know how you feel.
I had a mmc followed by a blighted ovum last year. When I fell pregnant again I remember saying to my OH ‘well I’ve got pregnancy hormones in my body again’. There was no way I could actually believe there was anything there other than a sac, and if there was, that it would progress.
I still worry it will all go wrong now and I’m 31+1.
I think pregnancy after miscarriage is such an anxious time. I wish you both all the best. You will get there xx

I've just had a BFP at 10dpo OP so we can support each other through this if you like- fingers crossed.

Thank you Jane and congratulations on a successful pregnancy this time.

Congratulations Whiskey, were you going to test anyway today or did I spur you on? I know you said earlier you were putting it off. How are you feeling about it?

I think I am just about 4 weeks (based purely on the fact that we didn’t have sex for 3 weeks following the erpc) so we could be at a very similar stage to each other.

You spurred me on! I'm now terrified as the test is so dark in worried it's a molar or there's something wrong. I know I'm 10dpo and this doesn't seem right.

Wow that is dark! Mine was very faint so going to test again in a couple of days. I had a very dark test at 9dpo with one of my children so it may not necessarily be bad news...

I’ve had a little bit of spotting this morning and lower back ache so suspect mine might be over before it’s really begun. Will test again in a few days if I don’t start bleeding and see from there.

I'm sorry to hear that it's the worry and not knowing that's the worst. I'm paranoid every time I go to the loo. Spotting isn't necessarily bad news though. I hope you're ok.

I’m sorry for your losses Flowers. I went through the same so completely understand how you feel, I had two MMC last year and I was convinced this pregnancy would end the same way. Had my first scan yesterday at 13+5 and all was fine Smile. Hope all goes well for you too.

Troika · 08/05/2018 14:11

Nice to hear a positive story mousefunky. Smile

How are you getting on whiskey?

I’ve had no more spotting and have had a darker test so fingers crossed it is progressing so far
