Can I pay to have a scan to see if I'm pregnant?

Hi everyone. I'm going out of my mind at the moment I'm on cycle day 74 and still no bfp! 😩 been doctors and got to wait two weeks for blood tests then a week to see results! I have irregular periods normally 30-47 days. Never normally this long! So could I pay to go and get a scan so I can have a answer clear? I could have low HCG levels as I've read similar stories of people not finding out until 15weeks preg!! Just want to know if I am to make sure everything is okay and if I'm not I need to know to see what's going on!
Any help would be amazing ❤️

If still get bfn I would presume that you hog levels are not high enough to be recognised and therefore not far enough along in pregnancy for anything to be detectable even with transvaginal scan.

Do you have pcos? What is the reason for irregular cycles?

Hog = hcg

For anything to be seen on scan hcg normally needs to be above 1000.
HPT can detect hcg from about 10 - 25 depending on the test used.

You could, I don't see why one of the baby scan companies would say no if you're still paying them their usual fee.

I am sure you can pay privately to have a scan but just be aware that they may not be able to see anything so you could end up having spent money and be no further along in terms of an answer.

If you are pregnant, a home pregnancy test will tell you. Those people who don't know haven't done a test.

If you are having negative pregnancy tests, it is very unlikely that you are pregnant. It is more likely to be an anovulatory cycle.

Please don't pay for a scan - the odds that it'll show a pregnancy are so low, I think you'll feel you've totally wasted your money. If you were pregnant enough to see it on a scan you'd be getting positive pregnancy tests. I'm sorry that that probably isn't what you want to hear.

I had a random 60 day cycle last year. Usually I'm 36. I just skipped a period and it did eventually come.
