Primark maternity clothes?

Does anyone know if Primark sells maternity clothes in-store, before I traipse into town this weekend? I hate spending lots of money when I'm only going to wear it for a short time and I've bought a few things on eBay recently that don't fit right - hard to get the size just right when you can't try on, and a 10 in one brand seems to be a 14 in another 🙈

Never seen any there. I got all of mine from a next clearance store. Worked out quite cheap and they were nice looking. And then i just bought some stretchy waisted trousers in my original size. But I think I got lucky that all the weight went on my top half. So I only had to invest in maternity tops

They don't but there is lots on the sale in Asos.

I've bought work things a size up in primark to wear.

Just googled and apparently they do have maternity clothes but the items are very limited and they only have it in a few stores not every store. So it would be a risk of a wasted journey if your local Primark doesn't stock them

The only places I have found to reliably have maternity stock in store are H&M and new look, both fairly decent for basics and not overly expensive.

I just bought big sizes in their bodycon jersey dresses, has seen me through until 8 months!

They don't but I am currently 27wks (with a fairly big bump) and a lot of their stuff fits me a size up (was 10-12 before and now wearing a t-shirt from there size 12 and size 14 leggings).

We had a new Primark open a few years ago and last time I was pregnant they did stock maternity clothes, I'm yet to find any in store this time though.

I've found George at Asda the best place so far. I've managed to buy their maternity clothes trousers and leggings in my normal size that fit perfectly! Also not at all expensive.
I have also bought some sizes up in primark as they seem to have a nice summer range this year, but due to my bump size my normal size 10 clothes I have had to buy in there at a 12-14 to fit!

I went on eBay and got two great pairs of new look maternity jeans for £5!!

I don't think so - a few store tried a very minimal selection of bits a few years ago but nothing since (used to work for them).

I wore their leggings and jeggings in a size up for my whole pregnancy though! Just went under the bump. Also basic long line non maternity vests from H&M, then long open shirts or cardis on top. H&M and topshop often have reduced bits online but I found maternity clothes in general a bit of a rip off. I had one maternity dress and a few tops that I actually wore.

We have two huge ones near us (London) and I've not seen them in either so I don't think so. I've bought cheap harem type trousers in two sizes up which will work for the 7 weeks or so I have left.

Another vote for Primark bodycon dresses sized up! I’m usually an 8, bought a 12 and it fits really well, with a little bit of growing room. Plus it was £6! Their elasticated waist shorts (£4) are great as an under-bump short too!

I'm in Dublin and our primark just recently started selling maternity clothes.

Even if your primark doesn't you could just buy clothes a size or 2 bigger. That's what I did in my last pregnancy.

Stringofpearls · 04/05/2018 15:37

Maybe it depends on the size of your local store. The one here does have a small maternity section which is quite good for maternity leggings, jeans, vests and a few tops. The selection isn't very big, but I found it useful for a few basics.

Many thanks. Heading to one today so might just have to buy bigger sizes. I've been using eBay but it's pot luck with the sizes - a pair of Next trousers size 10 were a bit large and a pair of New Look trousers size 12 were too small! Feel like there's a gap in the market for in store clothes! Thanks for help :)
