When did you feel your second DC move?

Hi all, I’m 14 weeks and a day along in my second pregnancy and am wondering when I’m going to start feeling the baby moving around? I read somewhere that it can be as early as 13 weeks! On the very odd occasion I think I can feel a really gentle popping at the top of my bump or in a far corner but due to the positions of these teeny-tiny flutters I’m not sure whether it’s more likely to be gas! I’m curious to know when second time mummies started to feel definite “Oh, that’s the baby!” movements. Thanks so much!

I'm at the same point as you and keep feeling 'flutters'. But I'm so bloated it could just be related to that.

I guess when it's a bit clearer later on, I might think these flutters now are a tinier version of bigger kicks. Or clear kicks might feel totally different and I'll know this is just gas!

I'm excited to start to feel clear movements tho.

Just reread your post, this is actually my first so I've no previous experience. When did you first notice movements with your first?

I felt flutters around 17 weeks with this baby DC2 I am of the larger side though.

Mine was about 12 Weeks, before my first scan! It sounds ridiculous as it’s so small but when you know that feeling from the first time round, it is unmistakable. Good luck with your baby!

I’m sure I felt DD2 move at around 14 weeks but I didn’t tell anyone as didn’t want to be labelled crazy!

Just before 14 week scan, sonographer said it's totally possible due to position of placenta. I had an anterior placenta first time round and didn't feel anything until much later so was surprised it was so early this time.

Mybabystolemysanity · 03/05/2018 19:07

19 weeks exactly. Anterior placenta this time.

Thistles24 · 03/05/2018 22:22

14 weeks with DC2, 18 weeks with DC3 but have an anterior low lying placenta.

IchFliegeNach · 05/05/2018 09:41

Suspected earlier but unmistakably at 16 weeks.

MonkeyBrainsInPickle · 05/05/2018 11:06

18 weeks. Posterior placenta. I really don’t think many women feel movements at 14 weeks.

SomebodysNotInBedYet · 05/05/2018 18:20

Tiny flutters at 14 weeks. I'm 19 weeks now and I can feel so much compared to my first pregnancy but my placenta is posterior this time and I had an anterior placenta first time around.

About 17 weeks - I still feel flutters sometimes that are as I remember when I was carrying, and my youngest is 9yr old !

guiltynetter · 05/05/2018 19:20

practically everyone says they feel their second baby earlier, which made me panic when i didn’t! i started feeling baby move last week at 19 weeks, same as in my first pregnancy.
