Terrified of mmc

I've got my dating scan in a few days and I'm absolutely terrified of being laid there and there's no heartbeat. I've seen the heartbeat twice already but I can't stop worrying that I'm going to have had a mmc has anyone else had these worries Sad

Hey I'm the same. Hardly slept thinking about it. Statistically though doesn't the risk drop dramatically after seeing the heartbeat? Wishing you lots of luck Thanks

You're much safer after you've seen a heartbeat and I think it's normal to have that sort of anxiety before 12 weeks. Wishing you both all the best.

I was the same. Had an early scan at 8+1 and everything was great. Went to my 12 weeks scan this week and barely slept the night before as I was so paranoid they were going to say there was no heartbeat (all was fine). I had no basis for this worry, I have had a previous MC but early on, I think it's just normal to feel worried. I also don't think it always helps to read things on here, I've found it very useful and a great support but things like MMC are over-represented, which gives the impression that it is more common than it actually is. Good luck x

I was like this from the minute I found out I was pregnant to the minute I had ds. My first scan was at 5+4. I had the perfect pregnancy in hindsight but ruined my time pregnant by panicking Sad. It's easier said than done but try to relax and enjoy Flowers

I think it’s pretty natural to be terrified walking into your dating scan, at least you have already heard the heartbeat! You have much better odds of a successful pregnancy once you’ve heard the heartbeat.

Just think the minute you see that heart beating you’ll be so in love and enjoy the whole scanning experience. It quite honestly is the most magical thing ever!

Thanks everyone Thanksglad I'm not only 1 feeling like this. It's my second dc but can't remember being like this at all with my first I do think it's reading things on here because it makes it seem as if they are so so common.
