Has anyone ever used an OPK as a HPT?

I’m 13DPO, no HPT’s but I’ve 100’s of OPK’s. Just tried one and it’s positive
I don’t know if this means anything but it’s glaringly positive to me.

Yes, I tried this and it worked but I have weird hormones so I’m not sure if that makes a difference.

My friend suggested it to me, she said it’s worked for her twice.

Yes, mine were super super dark! The control line needs to be really dark, not just a little bit.

Here’s mine :) as you can see the control line has lost colour and the test line takes on more colour as it’s positive

Yes, I used a CBD ovulation test and got a smiley which prompted me to go get a hpt

I took an OPK because I'd heard they pick up HCG or can't distinguish it from ovulation hormone or something. I'd decided that if OPK was positive I'd spend the money on a proper test. OPK came up very positive very fast. I'd never had a postiive OPK before when not pregnant so I was pretty confident on what it meant!

It's worth mentioning that you can get a surge of the opk hormone just before your period; so always cross check with a pregnancy test. I had this very strongly and nothing on the frer.

When I was pregnant I tested with both for comparison and the pregnancy test line was the stronger line.

So it might work but you'll only be able to tell for sure with a pregnancy test.

This was mine the day before a positive pregnancy test. Don't know the science or if it's just coincidence but I googled it and was desperate to pee on something 😂

I did a CBD ovulation test just before I took a pregnancy test and got a smiley face. So I guess it works!

I found out I was pregnant last Thursday and had been doing FRER and panicking because the last 4 tests that I did (over the course of 5 days) hadn’t gotten any darker or lighter, they’d just stayed the same. I decided to have a go with the OPK’s instead and as you can see, over the past two days the results are definitely positive and have gotten darker. Hopefully that’s a good sign!

Yeah it is positive yours :) but remember that could also be the surge before your period. Mine was extremely dark which I know for a fact ain’t normal with opks when I’ve used them normally, hence why I knew I was pregnant (had no symptoms)! So try get a pregnancy test just in case!

That's pretty dark. Get yourself a pregnancy test.

I did it when I was late and mine was very, very positive and I was pregnant.
