Hi all

I'm a little ahead of myself as I'm only 4 weeks in but so excited already thinking about how I will tell family and close friends - anyone have any cute/fun ideas? I'll be the first in my group of friends and just a second grandchild for my parents so want to make these moment memorable.

All suggestions welcome!

I gave my in laws a framed family tree with each name on a heart a couple of xmas' ago. So after our first scan we put a heart in a little box and gave it to mil as a late birthday present.. Took her a while to put two and two together though.

We told all sets of parents/step parents pretty early on (my Mum and I are very close so I couldn’t really keep it from her, same with DH and his Dad, he then felt a little obliged to tell his mum so not to cause any issues). With my brothers (DH is an only child) we sent them and their wives a card (it was Christmas time) and the cover was ‘how do you feel about being promoted to Aunty and uncle’ 😍 they loved it and they are still on their fridges! Then family wise was phone calls or text message. DH bought his grandparents a great grandparents xmas card (it took them a while to get it) and I messaged my uncle saying something along the lines of you’ve always been a good uncle, how about being a great uncle?

We had a whole heap of fun sharing our news, so just enjoy it, don’t get too wrapped up in a perfect reveal, just do what feels right
