Mucus plug / bloody show?

This morning I had a green/brown discharge with bright red spot when I wiped after toilet. This followed by some brownish blood in the shower and I have since passed some bright red and pink when going to toilet. Can't tell if it was mucus or straight blood as came out in loo. I have a pad on and nothing is on there, just seems to be when go to toilet. Does this sound like a bloody show?

I called the midwife this morning and she said not to call back until waters break. Just a bit concerned I've been on/off bleeding throughout day - is this normal?

Call back.
If I didn't call until my waters break I would have had a baby about 10 minutes after I called.
I had bleeding with my second and they said to go straight in. All fine but should be checked.

Thanks, will give them a call when husband home from work in case need to go in!

If you've been bleeding all day I would call ASAP. Better be safe than sorry. Good luck.

I would call straight to the maternity suite instead of your midwife, they may tell you to come in.
I called with spotting at 40 + 4 they told me to come straight in and my waters broke on the way in the car, had my baby 2 hours later!

Good luck OP, fingers crossed for you.xx

How are you op? Did you go get checked?

WreckItRach · 01/05/2018 18:30

I hope everything is ok. Let us know x

Thanks ladies. Delivery suite said sounds like mucus plug and not to go in until waters break. Went for a walk and still no blood on pad but coming out pinkish in toilet and can see that it's mucus like - if that makes sense. If still like this tomorrow morning I'll call delivery suite again. X

It does sound like a show but bizarre advice not to go in until your waters break - dd2 was born in hers!
Good luck!

This happened to me all day on the Sunday, everytime I went to the toilet, there were specks of blood in the toilet after, I had a lot of Braxton Hicks too. I went into labour early hours of Monday morning and DD arrived five hours later.

I had a show and the midwife in hospital had to break my waters; which I remember being a long time after the show happened.
