Which Mattress?

I'm 29 weeks today and so far we have been really organised with everything we need.
The one last big bit we need is a mattress for the cot.

Is there any type of mattress in particular I should be looking at? There seem to be so many options!

Avoid Stokke at moment as they failed the safety checks.

Apart from that as long as it's breathable, easy to clean and recommended it's all good.

Which? Do a mattress guide if that helps?

We just went to our local pram store and the mattress lasted the two years of the cotbed until we swapped to full bed in ikea for her.

The people in the shop will keep you right.

We've got this one for DD. She's 4 now, still sleeps in her cot bed (converted to junior bed) and mattress is still fine. We'll be her a new one when she moves into a single bed in a year or so.

Thank you both!
I wasn't sure if there was anything, safety wise, I should be looking out for?
This is our first and I honestly have no idea!

It just needs to fit snugly in the cot. Basically just buy one that's the right size.
IMO they don't need a 2000 pockt sprung, tempur, etc. mattress - they don't exactly weigh much. Shops might want to steer you to the more expensive ranges (especially eg Mamas & Papas) but I don't think it's needed.
