I have a bad back. I know I cant have ibuprofen but am I allowed to use pain gel, like voltarol? Im only 5 wks.

I was told no by a pharmacist for both gel and heat patches.

Not without medical supervision. Voltarol contains diclofenac, which is the same type of drug as ibuprofen but stronger.

There are cool packs you can get that specifically say suitable for use in pregnancy.

I suffer with my lower back too at 32 weeks pregnant. I have a microwaveable wheat bag that really helps Thanks

If it's your lower back I really recommend thermacare hip and back wraps, they're heated ones and saved my sanity while I was waiting for spinal surgery

I used biofreeze gel when pregnant, it worked pretty well.
