Bleeding at 7weeks

I’m 7 weeks pregnant today and last night I started bleeding. Was initially just a small bit when wiping yesterday afternoon. And I thought I had stopped. This morning however it has started again but is much more heavy. It’s now starting to fill liner/pad and and proper bleeding. Small clots but no pain.
I rang the early pregancy unit expecting to be called in for a check or early scan or something. But they won’t do anything. I just have to wait and see and take it easy (easier said than done when coping with a toddler already!!). She said it may settle down and some bleeding can be ok.
Does anyone have any similar experiences and a good outcome? When would I be offered a scan (if at all). First midwife appointment is on Wednesday.

I had heavy bleeding without pain at 6 weeks but a healthy pregnancy, however I've had similar (with pain arriving later) which resulted in a miscarriage.
I'm sorry you're going through this worry. Take care of yourself Flowers
I'm surprised the EPU won't see you. Mine did. The GP referred me.

Hi, So sorry you are having this worry, I have 3 little ones, and with the first two, I had no bleeding whosoever so it was a big shock when around the same time as you now , I started bleeding with my 3rd. The bleeding started off just small spots but then did turn fairly heavy, like a period really. I have an anxiety disorder and like you, I for whatever reason was not offered a scan, so I booked a private one, where baby was seen, with heartbeart.
I carried on bleeding, so I was still full of worry, so I called local epu again and was told I could be seen as they had space maybe I presume :/ not sure. But anyway they again confirmed baby was fine... and I was actually examined by a doctor who confirmed the bleeding was caused by cervical ectropion which is one of the most common reason for bleeding in pregnancy apparently. My bleeding continued til around 12wks... but the rest of the pregnancy went well.
Really hope you can get some answers, this was obviously just my experience but I do hope that you get your scan.
Lots of best wishes, I understand the worry, I really do Flowers

Thanks both. Unfortunately I'm pretty certain now I've lost it - the bleeding during the day gradually got worse to quite heavy red blood with several small clots always too and actually flowing out of me similar to period. Got to stage that when I put my little one to bed I went straight away too and then had horrid lower back pain. However when my little one decided to wake all the pain has stopped and bleeding seems to have slowed. And my boobs are still super sore and I feel my normal slightly queasy/faintness I've been having this time round which during the day disappeared somewhat.
I've been doing a lot of reading - probably not the best I know but I'm pretty sure it's not there anymore.
It's typical my hubbie is away for work currently so no support!
I've got first midwife appointment tomorrow so guess I'll wait to speak to her but still annoyed/frustrated the epu wouldn't see me as would just like to know either way.

I feel for you @angel0071987, it really is the worst kind of limbo, and must be even harder without your husband around. Hopefully you'll feel better for seeing the MW tomorrow, if you ask she might be able to refer you for a scan Thanks

I would call EPU again to tell them about the pain and that the bleeding got worse. X

I did just call the epu again. Still they refuse to see me. I have to be bleeding at the same level for a week before they'll think about seeing me for a scan or anything. Angry

Just reading this post now as I am currently having a bleed at 11+5 weeks. Angel I hope everything worked out ok for you xx

Unfortunately for me it wasn't good news. I paid for a private scan and that showed I had a tilted uterus but she couldn't see anything there. A thick lining but no sack or yolk. She said it could have been hiding/dates wrong or have been ectopic or already m/c. I had to phone EPU with results and get them to run bloods etc. My hcg levels were quite good but within 48hrs had more than halved so they said I'd lost it.
They did keep trying to give me hope saying bleeding is quite common (and as I had no pain (or very little) then likely to be good) but I just knew before I had the bloods it was over.
