34 Week Delivery

Hello, I’m in my 5th pregnancy. No 1 produced now 3.5 year old daughter, no 2 pregnant with coil in and miscarried, no 3 stillborn son at 36+5 and no 4 miscarried.
When I had our son I had a ruptured womb and ended up with emergency section and surgery to mend my womb.
Consultant talking about taking next baby out at 34 weeks to ensure we get a living baby and the scars in my womb don’t go pop.
Has anyone had experience of a planned delivery at 34 weeks? Wondering how long baby in neonatal unit for, what size etc. My first section was an emergency and I was knocked out. Feel scared about going back into theatre but I know it’ll be more calm and controlled next time. Definitely not allowed to labour.

My SIL was planned to have hers at 34 weeks, went well and she has happy healthy baby now!

My lo arrived at 34 +5. Was unplanned but he was fine. He was tiny but breathing and feeding were fine. He was on high calorie formula for a year but otherwise healthy.

I was induced with my daughter at 34+5. She was 5lb9 and didn't have any neonatal time. She was jaundiced but stayed on the ward with me. We were home after 2 weeks (issues with me not her!).

My 1st came at 34 weeks and 5 days. He was 4lb 13oz. We were home 36 hrs later. He's fine. My trust won't stop labour after 34 weeks as all development is done it's just putting weight on the last few weeks. He wasn't on special formula he just had vitamins until he was weaned. Good luck xx
