Bit worried about puffiness

I am 18 weeks pregnant and have recently started getting swollen and puffy legs by the evening. Honestly, my legs look like they should be attached to an elephant.
I don't think my diet has been helping - I've been having far too much sugar in the form of chocolate and have gained a lot of weight.
I know I've got to cut that out now but has anyone else been through this and can give me any advice?

Have you spoken to your GP about this? I think it's worth making an appointment.

keep up your fluids,

keep your legs raised as much as you can, prop up your mattress with some folded towels, also don;t cross your ankles, when standing or sitting..try support tights

try to eat less junk!

Thanks.
I got such a fright when I saw my legs yesterday.
I know I've got to cut out the junk. I've done myself no favours.
I'll make an appointment too.

My right foot swells up more than the left, I have no idea why.
