Hi
Never posted anything before but i had a miscarriage at 9 weeks which was on the 15 of February 3 weeks later tests were still coming back positive. I had to go for a d&c to remove tissue on the 12 of march. The tissue was sent away to test for a molar pregnancy got the results last week that it wasnt. Pregnancy test are still coming back positive. Has anyone else had this ? And how long do HCG take to go back to normal as it has been 7 weeks on Monday since I had a d&c. This was my first pregnancy so about confused.
Many thanks

Is it possible it could be a new pregnancy?

We never got told at the hospital not to try so we continued as normal about 2 weeks after d and c at first I thought it was just taking time but at 7 weeks and still nothing I have a docs appointment on Tuesday but not sure what they would be able to do

I did a little bit of research and found something that said it takes 'on average 9 to 35 days' to get back to normal, which isn't terribly helpful. I guess if you take another test on Tuesday (which would be 36 days) and it's still showing positive, go and see the doctor.

Did she mention your progesterone? I had an MMC in November when I would have been nearly 12 weeks and had an MVA. It took me six and a half weeks to get a negative HPT.

The reason I mention progesterone is because I thought I was pregnant again but the nurses said although I had HCG in my system the progesterone was too low to sustain a pregnancy and it was hormones left over.
