Anyone else ridiculously thirsty? I’m 7 weeks and I’m so thirsty all the time but don’t know what I fancy drinking! Can’t fancy tea as much, can’t stand anything like squash or fruit juice! Enjoying innocent smoothies but I can’t afford to live on those for 8 months! Plus it’ll rot my teeth! Lol! Any interesting suggestions for brightening up good old tap water? X

I know fizziness isn't good for the teeth but I loved sparkling mineral water during pregnancy, especially ice cold with ice in it too. You can buy them with added flavours too like peach, strawberry etc.

I had to have ice cold water constantly. Just plain but never room temperature. Bottles and bottles of it daily. It lasted the entire pregnancy. I spent 90% of the third trimester on the loo. Blush

Thanks Katniss, I’d forgotten about sparkling water. I’m now remembering I drank a lot of that with elderflower cordial with DD! Off to the shops! Thank you! Odd how your brain forgets things!

Mine was full fat coke with shed loads of ice at the beginning...anything else & i was still thirsty 😱 now at 34 weeks & i'm living on squash, gallons of it. Isn't it funny how our bodies react

I used to drink diet coke all the time...about 12 weeks into my first pregnancy it started making me sick! Had to swap to full fat with ice, was really weird. I also started liking green tea (like wtaf i hate the stuff normally!) 😂

Yes i was!! I still get thirsty a lot but in my first trimester I would wake up every morning patched and desperate for water no matter how much I drank previous night! I had read it could be linked yo gestational diabetes but all.my urine tests have shown up sugar-free and my thirst has become less crazy by 18 weeks so I guess it's just normal pregnancy weirdness!
