Ok so im 18 weeks and 4 days and from behind you cant tell im pregnant and looking from the front you cant tell either so unless you stand from the side and see a belly popping out its the only way you can tell.. Also my bump hasnt got any bigger for about three weeks maybe longer should i be concerned? ive only got just over a week or so until my 20 week scan i really hope im going to pop out soon as i dont get why im not getting really any noticable movments or showing. This is my first i have had what feels like sudden muscle twitchs on an off and i swear ive seen movement but not feel it.

Bumps are just odd! or maybe they're individual :D
I was wearing normal jeans to my 20wk scan, and you'd have thought that by baby 5 I'd have been showing by the time I POAS!
You'd also think I was used to feeling baby movements, but although I can't remember exactly when I felt this one moving I know I expected to feel it earlier - it was still a relief to see everything OK at the 20wk scan.
You'll be looking an dfeeling pregnant soon enough to be glad to get your body back by the time baby arrives :)

You can't tell at all with me from the back, and wouldn't necessarily know I'm pregnant from the front either. I'm still able to wear my normal jeans (although they are much less comfortable now!) and I'm 28 weeks tomorrow. I didn't feel any movement at all until 21 weeks.

Try not to worry about it, everyone carried differently and every baby's different. Easier said than done though, I know!

pastabest · 28/04/2018 11:13

I haven't had much of a bump at either of my 20 week scans. It's quite normal don't worry!

In my first pregnancy I didn't look pregnant unless I worse something tight fitting until about 30 weeks, in my second it was more like 25 weeks.

MeadowHay · 28/04/2018 11:28

I wasn't really noticeably pregnant to other people until I was at least 24 weeks, and in certain outfits maybe not even until about 28/30 weeks! I'm 32 weeks now and in some outfits I still think if you didn't know me you might not really notice I'm pregnant. I'm only a size 8-10 and just don't seem to be carrying very big. It's totally normal. It's my first too. I felt movements from about 20 weeks I think but they were only small and easily confused with other things like wind etc. Everyone is different, don't worry.

Cat12321 · 28/04/2018 11:55

Perhaps you're not really noticing because it's you and you're probably looking at it every day.

I bet people that haven't seen you in a while (even a couple of weeks) would be able to notice.

You'll be huge and waddling around before you know it SmileSmile

Thanks makes me feel better im always looking for something to be alarmed about all i have noticed is my bums got bigger i keep thinking its not growing back there haha. Yeah im in my same jeans but i cant do the top buttons up so i fold them up at the top lol. Im so impatient to have the next scan to have a bigger bump for the birth i should just enjoy it all really.

You can't tell I'm pregnant from the back, and not from the front unless the light is right, and I'm 39 weeks with a predicted 10lber!! Shock

Girlwiththearabstrap · 28/04/2018 17:23

You aren't supposed to be able to see a bump from the back! I'm 39 weeks and you can't really tell from the back. Obviously from the side I'm massive. NHS advice is that most women start feeling movement between 18-24 weeks so I wouldn't worry about that. Also the baby is still quite small and low so if it's your first it would be more usual not to have a real bump yet.

Baby2018 · 28/04/2018 17:27

Some people havent noticed Im pregnant ( 19 weeks) in fact someone at work asked if Id lost weight!
Bub is fine though heard the heartbeat this week. I expected to have a noticeable bump by now too but its only visible in tight tops

Anxiouschild · 28/04/2018 20:24

It's not uncommon to not look particularly pregnant, especially as far along as you are OP. It's partly how some women don't realise they're pregnant until they are quite far along/contractions start!
I didn't announce to anyone outside my team at work I was pregnant with my eldest, which combined with a tiny 'all upfront' bump created a few confused faces when I mentioned (to colleagues outside the team) that I was off at the end of the week. I worked until a little over 39wks. "Oooo, where are you off to? Anywhere nice?" They must have thought I'd been massively over-doing it on the free canteen lunches and were just too polite to mention it Grin

GottaBeStrong · 28/04/2018 21:13

I don't look that pregnant at 32 weeks. It depends on what I am wearing. If I wear a really tight stretchy top then you can see a bump but I don't look as pregnant as I am, if that makes sense. All the midwives I have seen so far have commented how neat my bump is. One also mentioned I have very strong tummy muscles and I have read other women who have smaller bumps have said they had them too, so perhaps that's why.

Pickledgerkingsareathing · 28/04/2018 21:14

With my first nobody new I was pregnant unless side view untill about 28-30weeks
This time I'm 20weeks and huge !!!! X
