Pre eclampsia second time round?!

Hey ladies. So with my first pregnancy I developed “severe preeclampsia” at 36.5 resulting in me being induced. Baby was fine and had no problems. Second pregnancy I’ve had appointment with consultant who wants me to see midwife weekly from 36 weeks. Currently 33!

All my midwife appointments so far blood pressure has been fine but creeping up slowly each time. The only annoying thing this time round is I’ve put a lot more weight on and have a gut feeling preeclampsia will make another appearance.

I was just wondering on others peoples history, with second pregnancy’s after preeclampsia with first?!

I’m probably worrying over nothing, but can’t seem to shake it off my mind!

I had pre-eclampsia both times round, at 39 weeks and then 41 weeks. Best to be monitored just in case!

I had pre eclampsia from 32 weeks. I was in hospital until induced at 38 weeks when i started getting protein in urine as well as high bp and odema.
2nd pregnancy had slightly raised bp at 37 week check but had a cold. DD was born 2 days later spontaneously and no symptoms of PE

I got it in all 3 pregnancies and it was earlier every time. First time I was 39 weeks, 2nd time 36 weeks and the last time was 34 weeks. I was kept under control with meds the last 2 times and induced when I was full term.

Ah I don't know if to remain hopeful I won't get it lol! I have midiwife on Monday (34 weeks) then only have 2 weeks before I see her every week like the consultant said. I really don't want to be induced again and have to have the birth as naturally as possible!!

Have any of you suffered much weight gain with your pregnancy's? I've put on loads more this time round than I did previously...

I had emcs at 36+6 for pre eclampsia with dc1, with dc2 I didn't get it, I did get high blood pressure but that was mostly due to the anxiety of worrying if I'd get pre e again at every appointment Sad I put on way less weight last time because I was so swollen last time.

My blood pressure has been creeping up by 1 or 3 every time I've had midwife so I think I'm just over worrying and probably that's what causing it! Gonna see her on Monday and hopefully it's still normal. I didn't get it till 36 weeks last time. And having weekly appointments from 36 weeks onwards so hopefully it stays away :-)

I had it severe first pregnancy c section at 34 weeks with 24 hrs notice. Second pregnancy no pre- eclampsia. I was monitored all the way through it no explanation as to why I didn’t get it. Personally I think I suffered a lot of stress from work in my first pregnancy.

I realise this contradicts a pp but my consultant said it's likely to be later and milder in subsequent pregnancies, so if you didn't develop it till almost term that's really encouraging! I got it and was induced at 34 weeks last time. This time I've been on aspirin since 12 weeks. I'm 38 and a half weeks and healthy so far. Regular monitoring is good and will pick up any changes.
As far as weight gain goes, I've been really careful this time and have kept up the gym the whole way through. I was advised that keeping weight in check and keeping active was good for keeping bp down.
