Spotting - possible TMI

Morning, I am nearly 9 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby. For the past couple of days I have been having dark brown discharge which is extremely worrying but no cramps. It hasn't been a huge amount but enough to worry me. I had an early scan last week and saw the heartbeat and everything seemed fine. Do you think this could just be breakthrough bleeding? Any advice appreciated!

They say any brown spotting shouldn't be any cause for concern as it's old blood and not fresh. I had fresh spotting on and off until I was about 10/11 weeks and all was completely fine so I probably wouldn't worry too much. If accompanied by cramps and if it gets heavier then contact your local midwife team for advice x

@itallhappensforareason - thank you. i actually spoke to someone this afternoon and they said not to worry. Its actually tailing off thank goodness.
