Bh or irregular contractions??

They feel much more intense and painful than bh. Also accompanied with period pains too.

Since around 5pm yesterday I have been having minimum of 3 "contractions" an hour (no more than 6 an hour). This stopped after getting into bed around 10pm. I woke up a couple times through the night with the odd pain.
Then since 9am this morning they are back to 3-6 an hour.

I'm 37+6 weeks, have midwife later so will mention then, but what does everyone else think?

I'm 37 weeks and have been having similar for the last few days. I seem to remember with previous pregnancy that this went on for weeks

Labour with ds1 just started without warning at 36 weeks, so this is so very different! I've been having painful bh since around 25 weeks, but these pains are worse.
Knowing my luck they will continue till 42 weeks!

It could be a sign that labour is going to start soon but it could all stop again or just carry on like this for quite a while yet. Sorry I know that's not a helpful answer but it's just impossible to tell what will happen unfortunately. I would try and rest and eat and drink well just in case it starts soon though :)

Midwife doesn't seem concerned. So I'm guessing labour may still be a distant hope haha
