Stabbing/pinching uterus pains

12 weeks pregnant and having some painful stabbing/pinching pains in my uterus area? They take me by surprise sometimes and I can feel pain down my legs when I'm walking. My belly has popped out a little already (not my first pregnancy) so was wondering if anyone else had experienced this? Looking for reassurance that this is normal! Thanks

I had these, especially the stabbing ones (I'm now 16 weeks and they seem to have subsided). I'm a first time mum and I was pretty unnerved but they came and went so much that I figured they were nothing - and I had a scan on Monday (unrelated) and everything is fine Smile

Everything I read about 'bad' pains made me feel that these definitely weren't. I eventually decided it was a combination of stretching pains and my uterus moving stuff out of the way as it grows!

Thanks @TinyTerror1 - I've had 3 miscarriages (one after 12 weeks) but never experienced these pains. Previous pregnancies never grew as they should so I have no idea what's normal or not...

I had this but not as early as 12 weeks. I think it was about 16 weeks. Every pregnancy is different. But I would still speak to the epu just to be on the safe side.

@CheesecakeAddict thank you. I'm so anxious about everything. So hard to know what's normal and what's not!

It's not easy having a pregnancy after a miscarriage. You wait for the worrying to stop but it never does. I hope all goes well with this pregnancy xx
