I hate this stage in terms of getting dressed in the morning. I've put on some weight - 4 or 5 pounds but I just feel as if I've spread out everywhere - I feel a stone heavier! My jeans are too tight, but I'm too small for maternity clothes. Just can't remember how I got through this stage before. I'm a bit flabby too so wearing anything tight on the bottom makes me look like a jumbo sausage being forced into a cippolata skin - Yuk. The newish style of big volume t shirts should work but with big boobs they just make me look a bit tentlike. Anyone care to share their top fashion tips?

Why dont you buy some of those bump bands. They'll cover up open buttons on your trousers and any bits of flesh.

I'm 12 weeks atm with 3rd baby and have bought some non maternity smock tops to keep me going and just wear stretchy Gap bottoms the rest of the time.

Buy some next size up trousers from somewhere cheap (mine are Tesco) - you may not wear them for long before you need matwear but you may be glad of them as you deflate afterwards

Try long stretchy jersey tops - I have a fab Gap one with a wrapover-look front so you can't tell if it's folds of fabric or rolls of flab.
Smock tops that are gatehred under your boobs thus are much better than ones that flow out from above them.

(and when you do get to matwear, the trousers with the comedy Laurel-and-Hardy style panel that comes right up over your bump thus tend to stay up better than the other types in the early days)
