So I'm currently 5 weeks.

Got 2 boys and both I craved salty foods, no morning sickness and carried very low.

I lost a baby in between and had terrible sickness. In my mind I like to think it was a girl.

Tell me your experiences and what genders you had! Intrigued to see if there's a pattern Grin

Both the same for DD and DS, mainly nausea! Didn’t pick out any differences between them.

Lmj25 · 24/04/2018 19:07

With my first child (boy) I had no sickness just a tiny bit of nausea around midday. Around 9 weeks now and I've had a lot more nausea this time round I'm reaaally hoping for a girl. I'll be happy either way obviously but would be nice for a girl this time Smile

MrsG95 · 24/04/2018 19:10

Ds1 - twin pg early on.. nausea and tiredness was HORRIFIC, was only ever sick maximum 3 times. Symptoms disappeared at 9 weeks. Craved smash amd gravy early on, then OJ, and finally mr whippy ice cream. Terrible heartburn 1st and 3rd tri.

Ds2 (37+4weeks pg now) - was sick twice a day from 4 weeks until 13 weeks. Not really had any cravings. Horrid heart burn 3tri!

iwasjustakid · 24/04/2018 19:26

I've had zero symptoms with this one so far other than feeling bloated. That must mean either there's something wrong or I'm in for hell as time goes on!

Same for both and in fact I was surprised when second one turned out to be a girl as was exactly same pregnancy! I also lost a pregnancy in between, so sorry for your loss Flowers

iwasjustakid · 24/04/2018 20:49

@Woodeffecttiles thank you ❤️ sorry for your loss too 💐

I had no major symptoms to be honest, i craved salty foods (mainly crisps) in the eary stages (1st trimester), no morning sickness and im currenty 21weeks with a girl

usernotfound0000 · 24/04/2018 21:13

DD I had no symptoms really early on, but I didn't glow, carried bump all around, craved sweets and chocolate.
Don't know the sex of this one yet but I've had much worse nausea, gone off chocolate, only want salty things, skin is better - obviously I have convinced myself it must be a boy!

Grandmaswagsbag · 24/04/2018 21:18

Dd bad sickness, spotty, craved sugar, all the old wives tales. Currently pg with. No. 2 and have identical symptoms and aversions so I think it’s another girl. Everyone I’ve ever spoken to on the subject has had worse sickness with their girls but most women I know who have 2 boys have had little with number 1 and fairly bad sickness with no. 2. Weird!

BikeRunSki · 24/04/2018 21:21

Very similar PGs for me. Hyperemisis in both, timings of onset, hospital admissions and dropping off pretty much the same. Craved bitter, salty food in both pg. i’ve got a boy and a girl.

Oysterbabe · 24/04/2018 21:56

I have one of each and there wasn't really any difference. I probably ate more pasties with DD and more haribo with DS.
My body is a temple.

iwasjustakid · 24/04/2018 22:23

Sounds as though the old wives tales are wrong!

Thistles24 · 24/04/2018 22:52

DS1 had bad skin and heartburn in 3rd trimester, craved fruit.
DS2, looked like I was glowing, was sick once a day up till 17 weeks then from 27-39 weeks! Craved all the bland carbs with salt I could get my hands on!
So basically completely different pregnancies, same gender.

iwasjustakid · 24/04/2018 23:15

I've noticed over the last 2 days, if I move suddenly I get a horrendous "pulling" pain in my stomach... wth is that? It's so painful!

OP posts:
Oysterbabe · 25/04/2018 07:55

It'll be round ligament pain.

TinoTheArtisticMouse · 25/04/2018 08:59

No symptoms with either. I x dd, 1 x ds.

lozdaniellexxx · 25/04/2018 11:02

Iv had no sickness what so ever, had itchy skin and horrendous headaches and craved salt and vinegar crisps. Iv been told im having a girl :)

gryffen · 25/04/2018 12:50

No symptoms at all for 3yr old daughter.

Every symptom under the sun and I'm due a boy in August.

🤣🤣

Brendatheblender · 25/04/2018 12:55

DS - Felt a bit sick in the evenings, my hair was amazing, acne on my back, awful acid reflux, extremely tired and craved cheese ALL.THE.TIME

DD - Awful sickness all day, couldn’t even sit in the same room as anyone drinking alcohol without heaving, again I had really bad acid reflux from very early on, my hair was awful and I craved orange tango - I even cried when DP got me Fanta instead Blush

FranticallyPeaceful · 25/04/2018 13:20

DS1: hyperemisis, PLAGUED with headaches, bloating within an inch of my swollen life. Craved spicy food

DS2: headaches in second trimester, other than that nothing. SPD. Craved lemons

DS3: very early symptoms (sore boobs, tail bone pain, restless legs) which disappeared about 4.5weeks and then extreme tiredness hit. Nothing until second trimester and then I was sensitive to absolutely everything and I’d be sick over so much as thinking about something that wasn’t clean. Then nothing really... SPD. No cravings

Frosty66612 · 25/04/2018 13:24

My sister is a midwife and she said the old wives tales are 100% nonsense and there’s no way to guess the sex from them. My best friend just gave birth to a little boy and she had the exact same symptoms as when she was pregnant with her daughter, but completely opposite symptoms to when she had her first son 8 years ago.

FranticallyPeaceful · 25/04/2018 14:07

@Frosty66612 definitely nonsense, I agree. I’ve had three completely different pregnancies and all boys!
