I'm around 9 weeks and in the past hour I've started getting aching in the bottom of my back only way I can describe is like a dull period cramp but in my back?? Had 2 early scans already baby was fine from what they could see etc. But just stressing a lot anyone else had this? Can understand near the end of pregnancy etc with a bump but as I said only 9 weeks. Thanks Smile

I had it from 3.5 weeks and it lasted about 1.5 weeks. It seems to be common enough and is just everything starting to stretch.

I'm 13 weeks and have been having back pains from 8 weeks, spoke to my midwife about it and she recommended me for physio as it's free on the NHS. Try talking to your doctor or midwife.

Thanks think I know in my head that it's quite common but I keep having stupid anxieties that I'm having a mmc or something really draining roll on 12 week scan

Relaxin typically kicks in from 10 weeks and can cause lower back and hip trouble. There are some safe exercises you can do to help, my pregnancy books have some and I expect you can Google some.

I was the same, was so worried about losing the baby but when I had my 12 week scan everything was fine, the baby was constantly moving around, wouldn't even stay still long enough to get a picture. My midwife told me if you've got a smaller frame you're most likely to feel everything sooner and a lot more, if you're really worried about the back pains get it checked out again. Hope you feel better soon!
