Horrible taste

12 weeks pregnant and the last few days I gave the most awful taste in my mouth. It's not metallic, just horrible.

Nothing takes it away, mints and brushing teeth make it worse. Water juice tea nope.

Eating helps it, but after it comes straight back. I never had this with first pregnancy.

anyone else??

Yep! Yuck!

Yep. I had HG as well and had the dilemma of whether the taste or brushing my teeth would be more likely to make me sick.

Boredoftryingusernames · 23/04/2018 21:14

Yes, it's awful! So sure my breath must smell awful but my husband assures me it doesn't. I haven't found anything that helps it stay away either. Had it in 2 pregnancies now. Someone recently on the HG support thread said rhubarb and custard boiled sweets helped them!

I'm 10 weeks and I've had it for weeks now. Literally have it 24/7 and it drives me crazy.
It tastes like I haven't brushed my teeth for a week. It's disgusting!!

I had this - grapefruit or cranberry juice can help too - no idea why. Is it kinda soapy/eggy?

laura6032 · 24/04/2018 07:27

I'll try some grapefruit thank you x

Yes I had it too. I ate sherbet lemon sweets to help which I realised was a terrible habit to aquire but at one point and also with terrible sickness it was all that worked but also sipping lime and soda or tonic water and pineapple juice.

Citrus flavours looking like the way to go

Dontsayyouloveme · 24/04/2018 08:23

Totally, Really soapy! I felt like if I was to have a drink of water, my mouth would froth up like fairy liquid does! I think it lasted two weeks! Grim
