Dont know why, this is baby number 3, but I am terrified of going for my scan this afternoon.

I've had a "bad" feeling about this pregnancy from day 1, and cant help but think there is going to be a problem.

Anyone is welcome to reassure or ignore, I know im probably being silly.

bless you JARM..... why do you feel bad? do you think it is a 'well, i;ve had 2 healthy babies, this is just pushing it....?' is this your 12 weeks scan?

katyjo · 14/05/2007 08:57

I was really worried before my scan but everything was fine.
Good luck
let us know how you get on.

pretty much lulu, yeah, 12 week scan today.

Ive just had strong visions all along of no heartbeat etc, despite the worst pg symptoms.

I had the same fears with Jess (but she was my first) and all was fine, but I cant seem to snap out of this at all.

I can see DH dragging me to the hospital

things will most likely be absolutely hunkydory......rationally , you know this..but when hormones take over, rationality goes out of the window...keep busy until scan time, try not to dwell on it ..and report back !!

stressteddy · 14/05/2007 09:00

jarm - do come back and let us know how you get on

Hope you can enjoy at least some of the experience

XX
many congrats by the way!

lunavix · 14/05/2007 09:05

JARM! I've just realised who you are lol I've seen you posting for ages but thought you were newish not who you used to be!

LOL

anyways good luck It's natural to have those worries, just a sign of being a good mum

Hopeitwontbebig · 14/05/2007 09:14

Hi Jarm, I also am pregnant with my 3rd baby. It's weird, but I have been finding this pregnancy FAR more stressful than the other two, but can't understand why. I was exactly the same as you about my scans. Although, I did have some spotting early on, so maybe that fuelled my fears. I was definitely more laid back with my other pregnancies. It doesn't make sense does it??? We know we can do it, we've done it twice before, so why........?

Well wishing you LOTS OF LUCK for your scan today, make sure you post and let us know how you got on.

Nbg · 14/05/2007 09:16

Oh have been thinking about you JARM.
FWIW i have been the same about my scan tomorrow.

I am sure everything will be fine. You've had lots of good signs.

munz · 14/05/2007 09:17

good luck chick, you'll do fine - remember to get straight on MSN and tell me

RGPargy · 14/05/2007 10:41

Good luck with your scan today JARM. I also have my scan today, but I'm really excited as well as very nervous - just in case things aren't what they should be, IYSWIM.

Let us know how you get on when you get back. My appointment's at 6pm so i'll post on here some time tonight.

JARM · 14/05/2007 10:43

Thanks guys, am really trying not to think about it - got loads of other stuff that needs to come first (like im going to be homeless in 12 weeks!) but it is still niggling.

Appointment is 1.50pm so will let you all know how it goes.

As you know, I am pregnant with no.4 and am 14 weeks, so far I have had 3 scans and each time I get scared that something has gone wrong since the last scan. Report back after your scan, I am sure it will be fine.

Gingerbear · 14/05/2007 10:54

It will be fine JARM, will be thinking of you later this afternoon.

I have my 8th (!!) scan this Friday.

Nemo2007 · 14/05/2007 10:56

Oh dear bad day today then with your other post. Everything will be fine and if there are problems then you will deal with them. You have many people who will help you through whatever happens. Just to say after my missed mc I was convinced both the girls would be the same but I am currently being kicked by a 4mth old and licked by the 17mth old[dont ask]

Nbg · 14/05/2007 12:58

you must be due soon, yes?

Twinmummyx2 · 14/05/2007 13:09

I was scared of going for my 12 week scan with my last 2 pregnancies, things didn't 'feel' right with me....turned out i was carrying twins both times!!!

Tutter · 14/05/2007 13:12

hi jarm, just wanted to wish you well with the scan. i know that others (i remember lth specifically) have also had this feeling of bound-to-be-something-wrong-am-pushing-my-luck - it's a natural fear but one totally unfounded i am sure

i'm off for my 8th scan on tuesday - some of us just can't get enough

good luck x

JARM · 14/05/2007 14:30

congrats JARM. I was the same with both my pregnancies, was convinced that everytime we had a checkup that they was gonna tell me there was nothing there.

SparklyGothKat · 14/05/2007 14:34

yah!!! Are you going to over to the nov. thread with me then??

MingMingtheWonderPet · 14/05/2007 14:34

Congratulations JARM, great news.
