Summer maternity clothes

Anyone seen anything?!

I just want some nice, preferably cotton, sundresses that I can throw on. I’m 34 weeks and uncomfortable.

Ideally not too short, as the bump is already pulling up dresses at the front.

Oh and if I can nurse in then when baby is here, even better!

Please send your suggestions this way!

Asos?

zaalitje · 21/04/2018 08:46

George at asda have a decent range

pastabest · 21/04/2018 08:56

I've had a few good ones from Sainsburys (non maternity) over the years but there wasn't much in there the other day when I was in.

Worth looking at New Look maternity range it looks like they have just got some new stuff in.

ASOS and H&M are also worth a look but I find you have to wade through a lot of rubbish to find anything semi decent.

Dare I say primark?

I've not looked at Topshop because everything I've got from there across two pregnancies I've had to send back as their clothes just don't fit my shape.

I'm looking too (33.5 weeks) but trying not to be overly optimistic about there being much of a summer Grin I'm mainly looking at A line type stuff?

I'm loving this: www.matalan.co.uk/product/detail/s2685877_c333/floral-wrap-tea-dress-red

Not in the maternity range but bought two sizes up, fits my twin bump comfortably at 34 weeks and the front undoes with one button to breastfeed.

I've got some other things in order from Tu, Matalan and ASOS, so will share if they're any good.

There are some things on New Look and Next that look ok. I'm struggling too because there's loads of dresses but they're all really short. I wanted like maxi or midi-length or at least knee length dresses/skirts but they're just tons of tiny short maternity dresses and then the only place I can find that sells cropped maternity leggings is H&M.

Chortlesauraus · 21/04/2018 17:34

H&M I'd say-I had some lovely maternity dresses from there although it was a while ago now

I meant empire line before. Sleep deprived from a teething toddler.

I've been looking on ASOS today and sadly not found much. Frills and clingy material everywhere.

Nothisispatrick · 21/04/2018 18:22

I recently did a big ASOS order, and a couple of bits from top shop. The weather got warm quite suddenly, I went to work on Wednesday in black trousers and a jumper as nothing else fit me.

PointeShoesAndTutus · 21/04/2018 18:25

Some good ideas, thanks! I’ve looked at ASOS but it’s all really short or a bit too formal for every day. I’ll try New Look and George, and look out for non maternity stuff too!

Zara have some nice front knotted dresses which can be worn as maternity wear.

Flyingchimps · 21/04/2018 21:35

Some nice stuff in JoJo mama Bebe which doubles up for nursing too 😊

Zoey36 · 21/04/2018 21:44

Dorothy Perkins has some nice stuff. I bought a cotton maxi dress which is nice and was only £16.50.

miki123 · 21/04/2018 22:40

eBay all the way - best place to find next to new maternity clothes at a fraction of the price!

Shabeth · 22/04/2018 09:43

It isn't really maternity but I found a great one at tk max the other day there were loads that fit my bump and will be good for breastfeeding in a couple weeks!

justabunchofbunting · 22/04/2018 09:47

Ive got all mine from Asos and the ones in the sale too so they are all a fiver each. Gonna be wearing them a couple of months max so dont want to be shelling out money.
I also look at 'smock dresses' as well as maternity clothing on their website as I find these are really comfortable and can also be used after the pregnancy.
Have embraced the knee length unfitted sack look with massive necklace and earrings.
