Hip pain

Does anyone have any good exercises for hip pain? I'm 20 weeks pregnant and the hip pain is getting to me big time, I have tried some I seen online but they don't seem to help.
It hurts considerably more after sex, it really aches 😣
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I went through a stage of hip pain but it did pass after a few weeks, hopefully that will be the case for you!
I found that a bath every night helps, along with making sure you don't overdo it on walking etc. I find that if I go for a long walk, I just need to sit down for a bit afterwards

Thank you, I really hope so to.
I don't normally have baths but I will definitely give it a try!

Check your shoes too, I found wearing trainers made a huge difference to the pain in my pelvic girdle and hips.

Worth talking to your midwife about pelvic girdle pain and possibly getting a referral to a physio.

It's often exacerbated by having your legs further apart and squatting movements, so looking at alternate positions in bed may help.

Try and get in and out of bed, the car etc. With you knees together (sitting on a carrier bag helps to swivel), make sure you sit down to put on underwear, socks trousers etc. Don't do it standing on one leg!
The same goes for sex, try positions that mean your knees are together as best you can.
A support belt might be helpful for times when you are standing/walking a lot.
