Suddenly feeling sick at 31 weeks

I’m 31w today and was about to go downstairs when I suddenly felt very sick and a bit ‘off’.

I’m sure it’s not going to be a recurrence of morning sickness as I hardly had this in my first trimester, but I have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes recently so have begun to eat more healthily and monitor blood sugars regularly. Yesterday at my appointment with the diabetes consultant, all was ok and I was given the ok to carry on with controlling levels through diet until my next appointment.

I feel a bit better now I’m sitting down but I did feel very odd a moment ago and like I was going to be sick. I’ve eaten lunch about an hour ago and kept hydrated today so am
not sure what this is... anyone had the same thing?

Have you tested your blood sugar to see what it is?

NooNooHead · 19/04/2018 14:33

Yes, it was 7.7 so just under the max for after eating - so definitely not a hypo!

Maybe I need some fresh air as it is v hot today!

I think there is a hormonal surge around this time which could affect nausea. I had hyperemesis for the first few months of my pregnancy and it got a lot better gradually over time from around 18 weeks. I'd mostly been fine for weeks but the last fortnight or so a bit more nauseous again and vomited once or twice again - I'm 31 weeks now.

I'm 31 weeks and have been feeling nauseous for a week or so on and off too.
