Can I have some experiences on taking your babies on holiday?

I am due my first baby on the 17th July, we had planned a holiday for May but cancelled when we found out I was pregnant as I felt I wouldn't want to go that far along. So far that was the right decision as I haven't found pregnancy particularly easy!

I am debating booking something for the end of the summer, for us to get away as a family for some bonding time and much needed sun. I was thinking Menorca in September, we go every year so know the area well, flight is only 2 hours, 10 minute drive the other end, so not an awful lot of traveling involved.
The flight doesn't concern me too much, but the other end has got me questioning a bit. Are they ok to go in the pool so young? What about taking all the bits and pieces with you like travel cot, pram, car seat, formula, bottles, nappies, all the other bits they may need.... is it a massive polava when they are so young?

Any advice would be gratefully received :)

I have no idea as I'm expecting my first as well. However I am due in September and we were supposed to be going away with the ILs for Christmas (cold country). We cancelled as we didn't want to have to travel with a small baby and be potentially stuck in a house with others though maybe it would be different if it was a hotel so just the two of you.
WE have booked a week away at the start of July so I will be 32 weeks. Just France so we aren't too far away from home!

I reckon it'll be fine. Two month olds just feed and sleep really. If you know the place well i think you'll be ok.

Thank you.

We do know the place really well which is why I feel like it would be the best place to go. Also it wont be too hot in September and we can rent a place with air con.

We are potentially going to New Zealand in February so this could be a test run lol
