Hi everyone, I am almost due with my third child, a baby girl. Me and my husband are Arabic but I would like a name that could work in te US also since we go back and forth a lot. I don't want a long/difficult name or one that is hard to pronounce. I like names like Maya and Layan but we already have those in our family. My top picks so far were Jenna and Lama but I feel like I don't have my heart set on either yet. My other children's names are Tala and Saif. Appreciate your suggestions.

Avoid Lama. It's too close to Llama, and Llama Llama Red Pajama books, and The Llama Song.

Also, ask MN to move this thread to Baby Names. You can hit 'report' on your OP and ask in the dialog box that will open up.

I like Maya. It was on my list. Nadia is another favourite as is Leila and Amira/Emira.

My daughter is called Amirah, I love that name.
