Cramps keeping me awake

I am 14 weeks pregnant. I can't sleep because my stomach is aching around the top half mostly. My 12 week scan all showed as normal a couple of weeks ago. In the last couple of days my nausea has eased, but not completely gone and I have been feeling hungry and tired. I have heard of round ligament pain but it feels more period like and is predominantly my upper abdomen but also slightly lower. Has anyone had this kind of pain in the second trimester? If it was accompanied by blood I'd be straight to the hospital, but I'm not sure if I should go when it's just the pain.

I had it A few weeks back I'm in 1st trimester think it was indigestion aswell as everything growing etc. I had it under my ribs if that makes sense x

I had it too at the beginning, but this has lasted from 9pm past night and stopped me sleeping. The pain is in the middle above my belly button mostly but also a slightly lower ache nearer my womb. I'm concerned because my nausea has eased at a similar time to the pain starting so wonder if the two are linked.

It wouldn't hurt to call your midwife. Growing pains are normal but pain that's similar to cramps that keeps you awake is a bit concerning.

Yes I was a bit concerned. I did call the midwives this morning, at this stage they'd only be concerned if the pain was accompanied by bleeding. So I just have to hope I don't start bleeding and that the pain doesn't carry for too much longer.

I’ve had this on several occasions! I’m pretty much uncomfortable and slightly crampy all the time and I’m 21 weeks. All seems to be fine, my body just hates pregnancy!
