Just wondering if i should go see my doctor or call triage, I'm 35+4 I had very very itchy lower legs and my my stomach is so itchy, my stretch marks feel like there turning into blisters because of scratching so much! I've read that it could be a sign of a problem in my liver, not sure if this is something I can call triage about?

I think this is fairly normal unfortunately :( may be worth mentioning to mf but I think that liver thing the Itchiness is more on hands and feet?

I had this with PUPPS. You need to see someone about it - it doesn’t go away on its own. I needed 2 weeks of steroid tablets and cream to get rid of it post-birth.

Do call. It can be a symptom of a pregnancy-related liver disease which would either need to be ruled out, or treated and monitored.

I was told by a midwife today to report excessive itching just to be on the safe side. In the meantime if you have any 100% Aloe Vera Gel that might soothe things a bit.

Yes. Definitely call. It could be your liver and they will want to check. If it's not your liver It might be pupps which I had. It's awful but harmless to the baby. The hospital took it seriously though as wanted to induce when they thought it could be obstetric cholestasis (liver)

Speak to your midwife, they’ll want to arrange blood tests to check your liver function. I’ve got similar currently and my liver function is fine, I do think it’s pupps though, I’ve started to get spots on my stretch marks.

Thanks everyone currently in triage now, bloods have been taking and baby monitored, waiting on seeing a doctor and blood results coming back x
