I can't face the dishes in the sink, that smell is knocking me bad and there is also a smell in my house no one else can smell and it's driving me insane. Is anyone else suffering with extremely heightened sense of smell which makes them feel sick?

Welcome to my life. 7.5 more weeks to go for me, then I can breathe again!

DirtyThirties · 18/04/2018 18:13

Yes I have turned into a bloodhound! It makes travelling on the bus pretty traumatic, I can easily point out the passengers who have showered in the last 24 hours and those who have not Hmm the other day I could smell burning, tracked it down to my partner's arm where he had scratched it, I could actually smell the broken skin!

gingertom11 · 18/04/2018 18:16

Oops! Slipped and posted to soon! I can smell the cats breath if it's sat too close to me and always am sure I can smell feet. Urgh! EnvyEnvyEnvy

RosieCotton · 18/04/2018 18:31

lmx0 · 18/04/2018 19:03

Jordan4531 · 18/04/2018 19:04

The laundry! I almost forgot about that. My eldest daughter left a mucky face cloth in the wash basket and it made me bork!

surreygirl1987 · 18/04/2018 19:07

The dehumidifier! My oh swears it doesn't smell but it DOES! Whenever it's on when he's drying laundry indoors I can't be downstairs :(

Pinkvoid · 18/04/2018 19:16

The heat was unbearable today but it was made worse by the stench of BO on the bus home from work. I was almost sick. I hate the smell of the downstairs of my house as well so I gip every morning when I come down. I don’t even know what the smell is! It just makes he heave...

polkadotpixie · 18/04/2018 19:17

The fridge 😩 I still can't open it without gagging and I'm 18 weeks now!

I also can't abide the smell of my boss, poor woman!

londonloves · 18/04/2018 19:23

Oh god I remember this. Tuna nearly finished me off. And people's bad breath on the train, I could smell it from the other side of the carriage.

DimplesToadfoot · 18/04/2018 19:28

I couldn't walk past a pub, even if I was across the road, something, the smell of the beer, lord knows, would knock me sick.

That's how I knew I was pregnant with my second, I was out shopping and walking home without a care in the world, I got within about 30ft of a pub and was instantly sick, I was like 'oh ey up I'm pregnant' I was ... 4 days

Namethecat · 18/04/2018 19:33

Your not alone ! For me it was the fresh bread smell that is often smelt all all around the large supermarkets. I would also walk home from work but would only make it to a certain road before throwing up !

Ploppymoodypants · 18/04/2018 19:37

The dish washer smell, urgh. Actually everything. I had to give apologies at work today for a colleagues leaving buffet lunch as the smell was so strong I couldn’t even go in the room. I am feeling v sorry for myself and resentful 🙁

llangennith · 18/04/2018 23:32

48 years on and I still want to puke every time I smell a certain perfume that my SIL wore when I was pregnant with DD1.
Pregnancy is a funny thing isn’t it?Confused

Mooana · 20/04/2018 12:50

Blarg to the smells! I'm so much more sensitive to them this time around (2nd pregnancy). I've been really unwell so my kitchen is a bit of a state and I'm sat here with the door closed and all the windows open trying to work out if I can tackle it without throwing up or not! I think I might wrap a scarf around my face like I'm entering a disaster zone!

Ploppymoodypants · 22/04/2018 20:11

OMG my kitchen. I can’t bear to go in there! The dish washer (which I have had for 2 weeks and in brand new), the smell anytime I open the door. Even of clean stuff. Having to hand wash glasses as I can smell the smell when I drink from them. And the washing machines stink too. I am soooo miserable feeling sooo sick and the smells making everything worse. Urgh. Sympathy to us all ☹️

Ploppymoodypants · 22/04/2018 20:11

Sorry I am repeating myself now. See how obsessed I am with the smells... dominating my life

Mayahan · 22/04/2018 20:30

I got obsessed with the smell of rubber when I was pregnant. I LOVED it. In the end I had to buy a bike tyre so that I could smell it all the time and stop hanging out in bike shops sniffing deeply in the tyre aisle. Like a weirdo.

gryffen · 22/04/2018 23:12

Nose like a freaking AER here - was downstairs and all of a sudden I could smell our toddler had exploded upstairs in her bed.
Tar makes me sick but I LOVE the smell of creosote 🤣🤣
