Pessarry for Thrush?! Maybe TMI (sorry)

Hiya, I am almost 9 weeks pregnant and have had thrush on and off pretty much the whole time (annoying). I was advised to use the Pessary without the applicator. Problem is my nails are long and pointy . Anyway... I put it about an inch. Today, as its coming out, its pink and burning and even more itchy! Has anyone had this before?

Yes. I had thrush pretty much the whole of my first trimester. I used pessaries and was never advised not to use the applicator by either the midwife or gp. So I just used it. It was totally fine. It needs to go quite far up otherwise it won’t work like yours. Although, depending on the brand and shape of the pessary the applicator can be a bit useless so I’ve just used my fingers.
