Pregnancy Acne

Looking for a bit of help hopefully.

15 weeks pregnant with my second. I have developed acne again as I did with my first pregnancy. It is quite painful, and covers my neck, jawline, around my temples, back and chest. With the first pregnancy it took until 6 months post-partum for it to start clearing up, but got progressively worse after the birth.

Obviously this time I know it will clear up on it's own after the birth so I'm not so self conscious about it. But it is very painful. Doctor won't give me anything as I'm pregnant, and after the birth the last time they tried a couple of things which didn't work anyway.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has suffered with this and found a product that helps with some of the inflammation/pain. It's particularly bad on my back and neck. I wash my face morning and night, followed by moisturiser, I have ditched the cleaner and toner as it felt like it was aggravating it a bit. Never sleep with make up on. Fairly healthy diet, lots of fruit and veg.

Any help would be greatly appreciated Grin

My GP prescribed Duac just after DC1 was born, when my until-then moderate acne took on a whole new life of its own. Not long after that, I fell pregnant with DC2 and the GP was more than happy to continue prescribing it throughout my pregnancy and whilst I breastfed DC2. Worth an ask?

Oh thank you! I'll have a little google on that and speak to the doctor then.. anything is better than dabbing egg whites on my face like someone recommended to me Confused
